Zee Nxumalo
Amapiano artist Zee Nxumalo has stirred excitement on social media with her extravagant birthday wish list.
The singer, known for her hit Mama, posted on Facebook in anticipation of her birthday on January 6, indicating a shift in her preferences. She expressed a desire for high-end designer items, cutting out requests for perfumes, and instead suggested tech gadgets or cash gifts.
This post quickly gained traction on X, leading to a variety of reactions among users.
In her message, Nxumalo emphasized luxury as the central theme for her celebrations.
“My birthday is in two days. [My] wishlist is a Dior bag/Dior sandals, or any Dior item. Buy me shares at JSE. A 40-inch wig (premium quality), maybe iPhone 17 Pro Max. I have enough perfume, I do not need them,” she wrote.
Her wish list included more than just designer items; she also expressed interest in Burberry swimwear, a Mahele for her bus, and suggested even grander presents, stating, “Pay registration for one of my fans. A 45 AMG Sport [car]. 300K hard-core cash. Or just buy me a Zee Nxumalo 2 Piece from The Fix. I don’t have it. It’s always sold out.”
While some followers praised her boldness, others, particularly among male users, felt her requests were unrealistic.
One user remarked, “She thinks she is Beyoncé, this one. She is just a good singer. Just beauty without depth!” Another raised concerns about her income, asking, “Doesn’t she get royalties and booking fees?”
However, not all responses were negative. Some fans remained supportive, with one stating, “And she will get everything ke sana.”
At 23, Nxumalo has much to celebrate.
She has achieved significant success in the South African music industry, consistently topping charts and playlists with tracks like Ngisakuthanda.
By December 2025, she was recognized as the most-streamed artist in South Africa, amassing over 100 million streams—a feat that solidified her position as one of the nation’s most prominent young musicians.
