Burna Boy makes huge revelation on AKA’s posthumous 38th birthday
Nigerian singer and Grammy winner Burna Boy honored the memory of South African rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes on what would have been his 38th birthday.
Through a poignant message on his Instagram, Burna Boy reminisced about their previous conflicts, noting that they had mended their differences before AKA’s untimely death.
“We fell out over bullshit even though we squashed it over Twitter DMs. Nobody knew about it, we never got the chance to really link up and do what we were supposed to do. I will regret that till I see you again. Until then, RIP Mega,” Burna Boy wrote.
AKA was shot dead in front of a restaurant in Durban in February 2023.
Burna Boy’s tribute underscores the deep respect and genuine sadness he feels for the rapper, cherishing their connection despite earlier differences.
