Florentino Pérez, the president of Real Madrid, has shared insights regarding the club’s efforts to recruit a player worth €150 million. He confirmed that the focus is on securing a young, top-tier footballer who can captivate the supporters and uphold the club’s tradition of significant signings.
While Pérez did not disclose the name of the player, he provided enough details to refine the list of potential candidates.
According to the president, the objective behind the €150 million acquisition is to bring in a “Galáctico,” similar to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo or Kaká, who made lasting impacts during their tenures at Santiago Bernabéu.

When questioned about whether the player might be a forward, considering Real Madrid already boasts Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior, Pérez affirmed that the club “always needs more”. He noted that the target is not a defender and could be either a midfielder or an attacker.

Pérez also clarified that the €150 million bid does not target any Premier League players, effectively eliminating candidates such as Enzo Fernández. He specified that this bid does not include Jeremy Doku, Harry Kane, Erling Haaland, or Michael Olise.
Softfootball reports that Real Madrid aims to identify a young star who aligns with the club’s long-term sporting objectives and its global brand presence.
Pérez underscored that his ambition is to excite fans and to attract the top talent in football, reinforcing Real Madrid’s aspiration to maintain its status at the pinnacle of European football.
