MacG, Sol Phenduka, and Ghost Lady discussed the controversy involving Music Pulse co-host Sfiso Ndlovu after he seemed to be drunk during an episode of the show that aired on Tuesday, 18 August 2026. They addressed the issue in a Podcast and Chill episode on Monday, 24 August 2026, defending Sfiso and clarifying why he would not lose his position because of it.
Sol Phenduka initiated the conversation by mentioning that Sfiso felt regret over the incident.
“Apparently, he was embarrassed; he didn’t want to watch the show, entertain it, or even hear about it. It’s one of those shows,” he said.
MacG followed up by revealing that the episode led to numerous concerns from fans.
“I got DMs, please don’t fire Sfiso,” he said, laughing.
Debate on Seemah comparison
Some audience members likened Sfiso’s actions to the departure of former host Seemah, who has openly discussed her struggles with alcohol. Sol swiftly dismissed these comparisons, asserting that the two situations differ significantly. Ghost Lady concurred, noting that Sfiso’s drunken appearance was an isolated occurrence and indicated that viewers actually enjoyed the show.
“A lot of people enjoyed it. Probably himself, not so much. But the viewers loved it,” she said.
Sol elaborated that Seemah did not lose her job solely due to her drinking, adding that such incidents are not out of the ordinary on the Podcast and Chill Network. He referred to the Dame Dash episode as his personal worst experience of being drunk on air.
“You’re not going to be dismissed for doing shows drunk,” he said plainly.
