Makhadzi discharged and recovering at home after car crash
Limpopo’s acclaimed musician Makhadzi has addressed her fans following her recent car accident.
The artist reassured her followers of her recovery but indicated that she would need to pause her live performances for an extended duration.
The performer, whose real name is Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, took to her social media platforms recently to express gratitude for the outpouring of support since news of the accident emerged.
The incident is said to have occurred on Wednesday, 31 December 2025, while she was traveling from Limpopo to Johannesburg, which caused concern among her fans both locally and internationally.
In an emotional message directed at her dedicated fanbase, the Khadzinators, Makhadzi announced her discharge from the hospital and her current recovery at home under family care.
She noted that her doctors have recommended a home care regimen for 10 weeks due to the injuries she sustained, which means she will not be engaging in performances during this time.
“Thank you for the love and support you have been showing me during this difficult time,” she wrote.
“I feel a need to update you about my health because of the love you’ve shown me, not only in South Africa but all my African followers globally.”
Despite recognizing the challenge of being away from the stage, Makhadzi maintained a hopeful and determined outlook, describing herself as a fighter with confidence in her healing journey.
She expressed relief that her vocal abilities remained untouched by the accident, a blessing she cherishes.
“I am slowly recovering well, trusting the process,” she shared, before emphasizing that she intends to make use of her time off productively.
While her performances will be on hold, the artist plans to spend her recovery period writing new music in the studio.
“Ten weeks might look like I will be lonely, but I believe God is giving me time to write beautiful melodies,” she stated, mentioning that the accident has rekindled her sense of purpose and gratitude.
She also expressed her thankfulness to God for what she referred to as a “second chance to breathe.”
Makhadzi concluded her message with affection for her fans, promising to return when she is fully healed.
This update received a warm response online, with fans and fellow artists sending her wishes for a swift recovery while she focuses on healing and new music creation.
