Mr. P Apologizes for Johannesburg Show Setback

Mr P recently reached out to his South African fans following his concert in Johannesburg, offering both thanks and apologies for a delay before taking the stage.

The artist, known for his work with the musical group Psquare, shared a clip from the event where he expressed appreciation for the enthusiastic audience while also addressing concerns about his late appearance.

“Thank you, Johannesburg 🇿🇦, for the love! ❤️🔥 Next stop: ✈️ Cape Town, this Saturday, 4th of April 🙅🏽‍♂️,” he wrote, before addressing the issue directly.

“I want to sincerely apologize to those who were offended by my late arrival on stage. It was beyond my control. I deeply respect the fans who take their time, energy, and resources to come watch me perform; that’s why I never joke with my stagecraft,” he said.

Mr P disclosed that he has taken measures to avoid a recurrence of this situation, stating, “I’ve also spoken to the promoters to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Once again, I sincerely apologize.”

Although there was a delay, many fans seemed satisfied with the performance, showing their excitement throughout the event.

His statement drew positive feedback online, with numerous fans expressing appreciation for the apology.

The artist is now preparing to continue his South African tour, with an upcoming performance in Cape Town, aiming to enhance the experience for attendees.

A fan expressed their thoughts on the apology, “@peterpsquare Joh, honestly, aside from the late arrival, you really showed up, my brother. Your performance was on fire. A lot of artists come on stage and just do a quick 15–30 minute set, but you actually PERFORMED. In every sense, you came through, delivered, and left nothing behind, you owe us nothing because you gave us EVERYTHING . Thank you for your being and showing humility toward us, your fans. You’re truly an OG.”
