Nonku Williams, a cast member of Real Housewives of Durban, has issued a public apology to her former friend Beverly Steyn. This statement comes as she confronts the ongoing issue regarding the money she allegedly borrowed and did not repay.
Nonku acknowledged her error and accepted responsibility for not returning the substantial amount she received from Beverly, funds that were reportedly used to avert the repossession of her home and to pay for her children’s education.
In an open conversation, she addressed the financial and personal challenges that led to her situation.
“Being a single mom can be tough at times,” she noted, adding that she did intend to repay the loan. “I had every intention of paying her back in full… I’m asking for grace. I’m human. I’m a single mom. I’m doing the best I can even when I fall short.”
In a detailed caption to her post, Nonku explained her choice to publicly discuss the matter rather than pursue legal action.
She mentioned that this decision followed discussions with her partner and trusted friends, highlighting her wish to be open and forthright.
“It’s time for me to speak my truth. While I could have approached this legally, I chose instead to seek guidance from my partner and the friends who truly care about me,” she wrote. “I want to share the whole truth with you and speak from the heart, as openly and authentically as possible. I hope you can feel and see that.”
