Anele Mdoda launches podcast and premieres first episode
The podcast is in collaboration with insurance provider 1st for Women, where Mdoda serves as a brand ambassador. The title of the podcast is The Anele Podcast – Her and Now.
The Anele Podcast – Her and Now will comprise just eight episodes featuring inspiring women from South Africa, exploring insights from 1st for Women’s first report, Her and Now: Insights into the Women of South Africa 2025.
The announcement of Anele Mdoda’s podcast was made on 5 May 2026, through 1st for Women’s official Instagram page. The post read:

On Tuesday, 6 May, The Anele Podcast – Here and Now launched with its first episode featuring Lynn Forbes, mother of the late rapper Kierna “AKA” Forbes, along with storyteller Pilani Bubu. In a teaser from 1st for Women’s Instagram account, Lynn Forbes shared her experiences related to dealing with grief after her son’s passing and managing job loss.
