Law enforcement in Free State has made a significant impact by arresting over 1,000 suspects while recovering drugs, illegal alcohol, and suspected stolen copper cables in a recent crime enforcement operation.
The extensive police initiative led to the apprehension of 1,015 individuals, of whom 308 were on the wanted list for serious offenses, including murder, rape, and assault.
These arrests occurred during the weekly operations of Operation Shanela II, where detectives engaged in specific track and trace efforts targeting fugitives, supported by multidisciplinary police teams deployed to areas identified as high crime zones.

The suspects are set to face various courts in the upcoming days.
