Brighton & Hove Albion has finalized an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for the acquisition of defender Luka Vušković, in a deal valued at a guaranteed £46 million, which includes a sell-on clause that could push the total to over £50 million.
The Croatian centre-back has already settled on personal terms, with a medical appointment in place prior to the official transfer announcement.
Expected to be concluded this week, this transaction marks one of the most significant in Brighton’s history as the club enhances its roster in preparation for the upcoming season.
Softfootball has also reported that João Palhinha is anticipated to depart from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, notwithstanding the Portuguese midfielder’s wish to stay, with his situation likely to be clarified during the transfer window.

Vušković is considered one of the most promising young defenders in Europe, and Brighton has acted swiftly to obtain his services before competition from other clubs could arise.
