Rachel Kolisi Stirs Controversy by Engaging with Posts Criticizing Siya

Rachel Kolisi Sparks Debate with Responses to Siya Criticism

Rachel Kolisi, the former spouse of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, has sparked discussions on social media after seemingly liking several comments that criticize her ex-husband, with some labeling him as “evil” and “Satan.”

The social media influencer and philanthropist, who has articulated her journey toward emotional recovery and mental wellness, appears to subtly acknowledge the difficulties stemming from their public breakup.

The pair, once viewed as a beacon of love in South Africa, announced their separation approximately a year ago.

Since that time, both have been navigating their new roles as single parents while pursuing their professional endeavors.

Rachel recently shared a TikTok video that many fans believe offers insights into her reflections on the past relationship.

The video included a poignant voice-over from a woman speaking about betrayal by someone close to her, stating: “As you’re falling, look up and you see your person watching you. They’re watching you fall and hit the ground, and they’re smiling… They didn’t stop the airplane, they didn’t come back to see if you were okay, or even apologise. Instead, they picked up a new person along the way… You don’t understand love anymore, you’ve met evil. They’ve killed a part of you before you were ready to die.”

This heartfelt video quickly gained traction, drawing numerous comments from fans eager to share their own thoughts and experiences.

One viewer commented, “Yes, he’s Xhosa, agents of Satan. Very selfish beings.”

She also favored another reaction stating, “…even after having met evil… goodness still prevails. And now every day you recognize your past for what it was… an incredibly painful revelation of who you are in Christ, but a much-needed revelation nonetheless.”

While Rachel has not directly responded to the comments, many observers interpret her online interactions as an indirect reply to ongoing speculation regarding the reasons behind their breakup.

In his 2023 autobiography Rise, Siya Kolisi revealed personal struggles he encountered during their marriage, which included issues with alcohol, visits to strip clubs, and impulsive spending, adding to the discussion around the challenges they faced privately.
