Stilo Magolide Announces Multiple Versions Of ‘They Talk Street Mix’ After Overwhelming ResponseIn a video, Stilo expressed that he reached out to fans and fellow artists with the aim of finding “homies, brothers, sisters” who would collaborate on the remix of “They Talk.” The response he received, according to him, has been more than he had anticipated.
“Over a week ago, I reached out to you guys to help me find some people, homies, brothers, sisters who can join me on this They Talk Street Mix. And the response has been incredible, overwhelming to say the least,” he stated.
The enthusiasm around the remix has prompted Stilo to expand the project beyond its original scope. Rather than a single release, he has confirmed that multiple versions of the street mix will be produced, reflecting various dimensions of the cultural landscape.
“It looks like we’re going to do a couple of versions and its gonna be representatives of different parts of the layer of the land. So the first one, They Talk Street Mix, it’s gonna be from the Vaal, and we’re dropping it this week,” Stilo Magolide remarked.
The initial version, which he characterized as originating “from the wild,” has already sparked significant conversation among fans. Many are speculating about potential features on the remix, with expectations for a roster filled with artists known for street-oriented lyrics, underground talent, and some surprising partnerships.
Stilo has also turned the release strategy into a guessing game for fans, encouraging them to identify the contributors before revealing that this first version of the remix will be released this week.
This initiative highlights the increasing trend of collaborative street remixes in South African hip-hop, where artists are utilizing collective recordings and regional partnerships to showcase new voices and fortify community bonds within the genre.
