Big Zulu Declines Reality TV: Embracing Challenges Over Fame
- Big Zulu, a prominent South African rapper and owner of a record label, has declined multiple invitations to participate in a reality TV show.
- The musician has shared his reasons for avoiding reality television for the foreseeable future.
- In addition to this, the founder of Inkabi Records has collaborated with his 15-year-old daughter and released a joint project.
The possibility of reality television does not seem appealing to South African artist Big Zulu. The rapper, known for Imali Eningi, is concentrating on expanding his music enterprise and supporting his artists.
This focus has led various production companies to approach the artist and entrepreneur for a potential reality show.
Will Big Zulu participate in reality TV?
As reported by Daily Sun, Big Zulu has expressed a lack of interest in the many reality TV offers and stated that he does not feel prepared.
The musician manages a successful label that has promoted the careers of artists such as Lwah Ndlunkulu, Mduduzi Mncube, Xowla, Siya Ntuli, and his latest signing, his daughter Nkabikazi, whose full name is Siphesihle Nene.
Zulu is open to considering the right opportunity when it arises.
“Many production companies have approached me requesting to do a reality TV show about my life, but I have refused for now. It will happen at the right time when I feel that I’m ready for it. Reality TV shows come with many challenges that need full readiness,” he was quoted as saying.
Big Zulu supports his daughter
Recently, the rapper and his teenage daughter released their joint EP Undodakazi. According to Zulu, Nkabikazi frequently showcased her singing talent to him. He expressed to Daily Sun, “For the longest time, she has been singing for me and begging me to record her. She’s talented and a good singer. Trust me, every time she surprises me with the way she sings at her age.”
Initially intended exclusively for her, Big Zulu decided to co-create the EP, recognizing the need for guidance as she developed her skills.
The project serves to present her talent to a broader audience. With his extensive experience in the industry since 2023, Zulu chose to collaborate with her to refine her abilities.
“She loves dancing to songs and not to mention singing. That’s why I allowed her to do dancing to the 3 step genre to allow her to do what she loves and what she loves and what she feels like doing. I’m grateful that my daughter and firstborn is following in my footsteps,” he said.
