Bomb Production company releases statement in response to Nirvana Nokwe sexual assault claim
Bomb Productions has issued a response regarding the sexual assault accusations made by actress and singer Nirvana Nokwe against her former co-star Bonko Khoza from Red Ink.
The production firm released an extensive public statement on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, just hours after Nokwe-Mseleku discussed the allegations during a phone interview for a YouTube segment of Music Pulse.
In its statement, Bomb Productions affirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward any form of abuse, stating that the allegations were promptly addressed as soon as they were brought to light.
“When Ms Nirvana Nokwe-Mseleku raised her concerns, they were immediately taken seriously, and an extensive process of consultation and investigation was initiated,” the company outlined.
According to Bomb Productions, the ensuing internal investigation could not substantiate the claims, citing insufficient evidence.
“The investigation concluded without sufficient evidence to substantiate the allegations.”
Both Nokwe-Mseleku and Khoza were notified of the investigation’s outcome and were informed about other options available to them should they disagree with the findings.
The production house detailed the protocols allegedly followed prior to filming the contentious scene.
Bomb Productions asserted that both actors were advised of the scene’s nature and intensity before signing their contracts.
Additionally, it stated that during rehearsals and filming, the actors’ consent and comfort levels were continually assessed.
The statement noted that a safety officer was present on set, reminding the actors of their right to halt the shoot or pause if they felt uncomfortable at any moment.
Once concerns were raised by Nokwe-Mseleku after filming, production for the day was said to have been immediately suspended.
Bomb Productions added that several discussions and consultations occurred afterward, involving producers, directors, and key crew members who were on set during the filming.
The statement also mentioned that Nokwe-Mseleku had requested an official apology letter from Khoza during the discussions, which the actor evidently rejected.
“Mr Khoza stated he did not agree with the allegations made by Ms Nokwe-Mseleku and was thus not willing to write any letter.”
Furthermore, Bomb Productions indicated that emotional support services were made available to Nokwe-Mseleku at the company’s expense and that legal advisors, along with SWIFT (Sisters Working in Film & Television), were consulted throughout the process.
The response from the production company has generated significant reactions on social media, with opinions split regarding its handling of the situation.
